Can drug induced mental illness be cured?
You need to see your doctor, and fess up. They won’t turn you in, and will try to help. You will need to stop this self-destructive behavior if you want to get better.

There is no treatment for depersonalization. Especially if it was caused by smoking pot. some people have depersonalization from anxiety and they can be helped by treating the anxiety but that’s it. You’ll just have to wait it out. Usually goes away in a couple of weeks or at most a couple of months. QUIT SMOKING POT or it can become permanent.

Yep, it sure can, in most cases.
I abused drugs years ago, and It really affected me badly, I was even in a psychiatric hospital for some time. I’ve been taking prescription medication called Abilify and I’ve been taking it a few months and i feel completely normal now. It did take a while to work but it was well worth it, my doctor says I can even wean myself off it in a couple years.
13 is very young to have those kind of problems though, but i’m sure that provided you stop and keep taking meds you’ll be fine!
Good luck!!

What he said is completely false. You can recover from this without medication, this is true, but medication has been known to help many. If you have have depersonalization from depression, of course your depersonalization will go away once your depression is resolved with the help of medication. The only problem is, if you have depersonalization caused by anxiety, medication will probably not help since there are really no known medications to help with anxiety (unless you take benzos, but those are addictive and you cannot take them for the rest of your life). There is effexor, which is supposed to help depression along with anxiety, but it does not work for everyone. Therapy is really the only way to get rid of an anxiety disorder.
But everyone is different. Work with a doctor to find medication that is right for you. Who knows, a medication could clear it right up.
