I think Hate is on the raise in the USA, especially when I look at yahoo headline discussion boards? Do you?

Look at the things published when Baby Jessica wed, or Indonesia sentenced drug smugglers to death. Why does this stir up so much hate and racism? Look at the discussion forums/boards official sites like Yahoo. It’s very upsetting and un-nerving to even glance at the site. I think we’re better off with out such forums to post such hatefulness.
Please don’t post you’re simplton smart mouth remarks like Windrider so freely does. It only adds to the hatefulness around us.

We must ask ourselves: Are Yahoo discussion boards really indicative of the mood of our nation? IMHO, they are not. You have to look farther and wider to discover the true nature of our nation’s prejudices, if any.
No one of any consequence is seriously, publicly advocating a return to the days of Jim Crow, lynchings, and official discrimination.

Or maybe we, who don’t believe that such expressions are healthy or helpful, should STOP READING it?

*edit. wacoastgirl, it wasn’t meant as a smartass remark. Perhaps I should have elaborated. I don’t believe that exposing myself to the hatred and anger of others is at all healthy, so I avoid it. I meant it as a suggestion. I sincerely apologize.

I dont think its necessarily on the rise, but nowadays there are so many ways to post or say your opinion on anything with the internet and all the technology out there. especially considering you dont have to identify yourself in many cases, you can put any name or alias.
