i need a drug treatment program for my sister who wants to quit using but no detox facilities or any programs where you have to stay overnight, some kind of church program would be great!

Check with TEEN CHALLENGE – it is not just for teens so don’t let the name fool you.

Also, I’m told that Lakeview Center has (or at one time had) a day program. http://www.ebaptisthealthcare.org/LakeviewCenter/

I’m not sure if this Twelve Oaks has a day program or not, but I was also told about them… http://www.twelveoaksrecovery.com/

Listen, I was the same way in the beginning. I knew I had a serious problem, knew I needed help but was so frightened of being admitted into a hospital that I almost didn’t ask for help.

What you should do with your sister is tell her that the first place she needs to go is to her primary care physician. You should have her agree that she will do what the physician suggest should be done.

That way if he/she thinks that your sister truly needs to detox under medical supervision they can set it all up and the only thing she will need to do is muster up the courage to go directly there from the doctors office.
