Feb. 22 (Bloomberg) — Bloomberg’s Peter Cook reports on GlaxoSmithKline Plc’s Avandia diabetes-treatment drug. Shares of the drugmaker fell after U.S. Senators released a report showing that safety reviewers had urged the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to take Avandia off the market because it caused an increased risk of heart attacks.
