The clips from Bill Hicks ‘Revelations’ in which he discusses drugs, I find he does his best work on this topic. Plus, he’s smart about it.

    awful. I don’t …
awful. I don’t condemn bill hicks at all (that’s what narcissism would do). I applaud his constructive efforts, and especially like that ride analogy.

but, he didn’t practice what he preached entirely. he said you had to choose between love and fear; it seems he was caught between the two. it’s fearful (and by extension narcissistic) to idolize bill hicks and think he was just awesome, overlooking his faults (you don’t seem to do this but plenty of ppl below me do). he wasn’t perfect.

youtube won’t let me re-read my comment because of all the thumbs down so i dunno exactly what i said.

I know exactly the frustration you’re talking about, it’s a part of my daily life. it used to drive me off the wall, but now, i’m just starting to realize, that my frustration is just narcissism, and so is everyone else’s frustration. if you want to change the world, then change it and become that change, don’t about it.

the frustration is awful; but that’s because narcissism is

um. the guy’s from texas. he’s walked about a million miles in their shoes and realized how pacified and programmed not only they, but so many people in america really are. when you start to think for yourself and realize how few people actually are, and how fragile and dangerous it is to act upon your own perception in this “free” country of ours it gets really frustrating. some people get depressed, some people run away and join communes, some do nothing. and then there’s bill hicks…

…thank-you. Hicks was a master of humour used to open the minds of the sheeple; it is remarkable how truly informative his material is — and, in particular, how (literally) enlightened he is… “just planting seeds, folks…”

    Ye, I can …
Ye, I can understand the point of view of the religious right. People that smoke weed, also do one more thing that makes the religious fundamentalists dirty their diapers… they tend to think for themselves and not just swallow whatever the clurgy and the politicians serve them and that is bad in todays western civilisation where any form of questioning your goverment is practically considered treason.

    Everything is a …
Everything is a chemical. Chemical just means something made of atoms, which is really just “something”. That’s it. So the number of “chemicals” in the cannabis FLOWER BUD, is irrelevant. On the other hand, the fact that it is a health-preserving, ego-humbling, medicinal FLOWER BUD is relevant.
