Ex Drug Rep — Manipulating Doctors

Ex-Pharma Sales Reps talks about manipulating doctors to sell more drugs.
In this video Gwen discusses some of the tactics used by some pharmaceutical sales reps to get doctors to prescribe their drugs.
This included tactics like minimizing harmful side effects to doctors, presenting statistics in a slanted way, accusing anyone that speaks out against psychiatric drugs as being a Scientologist, psychological profiling of doctors to best know how to convince them to prescribe your drugs, etc.
Gwen Olsen spent fifteen years as a pharmaceutical sales rep working for such healthcare giants as Johnson & Johnson, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Abbott Laboratories. She enjoyed a successful, fast-paced career until several conscious-altering experiences began awakening her to the dangers lurking in every American medicine cabinet. Her most poignant lessons, however, came as both victim and survivor of life-threatening adverse drug reactions. After leaving pharmaceutical sales in 2000, Gwen worked in the natural foods industry first as an Account Manager for Nature’s Way, and then as a Regional Sales Manager for Gaia Herbs. She is currently a writer, speaker, and natural health consultant.
The United States health care system is killing Americans at an alarming rate, even though we spend over fifteen percent of the Gross National Product (GNP) on health care. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, our health care outcomes ranked only fifteenth among twenty-five industrialized nations worldwide. Adverse effects from prescription drugs have become the third-leading killer of Americans. Only heart disease and cancer claim more lives. We trust our doctors to inform us and our government to protect us from medical malfeasance that may put profits ahead of consumer health and safety. But the fine line walked by the FDA between the interests of the pharmaceutical manufacturers and the American public has continually been crossed. The result is the unleashing of an unprecedented number of lethal drugs on the U.S. market!
Gwen Olsen learned firsthand the danger that lurks in every American’s medicine cabinet, working in the pharmaceutical industry. But her most poignant education would come as a victim and, ultimately, as a survivor.

Gwen Olson is telling the truth. I know this for a fact. People that come out against the pharmaceutical get bashed, when these CEOs and scientist should be in prison for murder.

From experience, I know that Gwen Olson is telling the truth. Not only are pharmaceutical companies killing us with their drugs, but also their vaccinations. They will not make money if we are healthy, and these greedy you know what needs to go to trial for murder and genocide.

The pill rolling, …
The pill rolling, lip smacking, and ’shuffle’ aka ‘Thorazine Shuffle’ she refers to is known as tardive dyskinesia and is a very damaging side effect of many antipsychotics. Haldol is pretty bad– I wouldn’t sell that to anyone if you gave me a million dollars.Truth is, not many improvements have been made along the way in the realm of intensive antipsychotic treatment–most drugs remain dopamine-blocking chemical lobotomies even today.
FWIW, I’m glad this woman found her way out.

What do you think? And even with her voicing her ideas, Big Pharma and doctors (that most people trust as blindly as their religions) would say they disagree and it’s only her opinion.

Was this women prosecuted for her part in the promotion of drugs that resulted in peoples deaths? She clearly says that she believed what she was doing was wrong, before she stopped doing it, and she said people died as a result of it.

I’m personally a …
I’m personally a lot more concerned about pharmaceutical ads directed at patients; people become convinced they “need” a certain drug when it may not even be related to their actual problem. If a doctor is going to be swayed by a free lunch into persuading a patient that they need a drug or device, the problem is with the doctor. If they’re taking in a rep before a patient, the problem is with the doctor. If I saw this, I’d seek another doctor.
Not to mention lunch lectures are deadly boring ^-^

Big Pharmas are …
Big Pharmas are very honest about their drugs. They tell you it causes violence, suicide etc. and dont know how it works inside your brain. They never said their drugs would make you happy whatsoever. Its your decisions to take the drugs not them.
SSRI and SNRI are disturbing the major chemical Dopamine inside the brain. Big Pharma doesnt have any knowledge to produce it. This is the real chemical imbalance story.

Pharma companies …
Pharma companies are creative in pushing the doctors to prescribe their meds by giving away freebies like pens, which finally has been curtailed . It is a conflict of interest for doctors to be given luncheons under the guise and premise of educating the doctors on the drugs in hopes of increasing the volume of scripts written. Have you ever been infuriated to sit in the waiting room only to see the drug rep. escorted in before the patient?

money trails and big pharma and all these scary words. listen. ive been on prescription meds for adhd since i was 9. i am 23. i am fine. my friends who i met in adhd support groups when i was little have been on adhd meds for as long as me. we are all fine. in fact if it werent for the adhd meds these kids would have probably dropped school a long time ago. i think these people are proof enough that adhd meds have long term benefits

@threadysparrow …
@threadysparrow Many meds work great in short term trials. Now try to find any studies on long term effects of prescription meds. You can find long term studies for and and all illegal drugs, so why not long term studies for prescription drugs? think about it and follow the money trail back to pharma.
