Brian “Head” Welch, former lead-guitarist for Korn, a controversial nu-metal band, is now a Christian and no longer does drugs (meth) and alcohol. He says in this interview on Fox News that he has found God.

Amazon.com says this in an Editorial Review of his book, “Save Me from Myself: How I Found God, Quit Korn, Kicked Drugs, and Lived to Tell My Story”:

In February 2005, more than 10,000 people in Bakersfield, California, watched as Brian “Head” Welch–the former lead guitarist of the controversial Nu–metal band Korn–was saved by Jesus Christ. The event set off a media frenzy as observers from around the world sought to understand what led this rock star out of the darkness and into the light.

Now, in this courageous memoir, Head talks for the first time about his shocking embrace of God and the tumultuous decade that led him into the arms of Jesus Christ. Taking the reader backstage with Korn, Head tells the inside story of life in the band and how his rock star lifestyle resulted in an all–consuming addiction to methamphetamines. Head writes openly about the tour bus mayhem of Ozzfest and The Family Values tour, while providing a candid look at how the routine of recording and traveling placed him in a cycle of addiction that he could not break on his own.

Speaking honestly about his addiction, Head details his struggles with the drug that ultimately led him to seek a higher power. Despite his numerous attempts to free himself from his addiction, nothing–not even the birth of his daughter–could spur him to kick meth for good. Here he addresses how, with the help of God, he emerged from his dangerous lifestyle and found a path that was not only right for his daughter, it was right for him. In addition, he discusses the chaotic end to his time in Korn, and how his newfound faith has changed his perspective on his past.

Morgan was a physician and professor of pharmacology at the City University of New York Medical School. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of medicine in 1965. Following training in internal medicine (at Syracuse) and clinical pharmacology (at John Hopkins University and the University of Rochester), he began a career in academic pharmacology and medicine at the University of Rochester. He began his position at City College in 1977, where his teaching included the topics of pharmacology, clinical pharmacology and drug policy. His book, Marijuana Myths, Marijuana Facts (The Lindesmith Center, New York, 1997) reviews the latest scientific and medical research and debunks the common marijuana myths.
Dr. Morgan published approximately 100 articles, book chapters and books, largely focused on the clinical pharmacology of psychoactive drugs. His research and writing involved issues such as urine testing in the American workplace, medical marijuana, the socio-pharmacology of crack-cocaine, alcohol prevalence during national prohibition, and physician prescribing practices.
Dr. Morgan was a member of numerous professional associations, including the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and the American Council on Science and Health, and he served on the advisory board of the Drug Policy Alliance.
NORML expresses its sincere condolences to the friends and family of John P. Morgan, MD, and recognizes his service to NORML’s Board of Directors (1996-2005) and NORML’s Advisory Board (2005-2008).

IF YOU DON’T SEE ME FOR A WEEK, PLEASE GET MY INFORMATION OUT TO TO THE WORLD. IT WILL MEAN I CAN’T .
An important point I neglected to mention is that, though there is no law mandating vaccinating children in Israel; parents who have a file opened on them by the Social Workers are made to feel that if they do not vaccinate their children they are neglecting and abusing them and can lose them.
I know for a fact that the Social Workers in Israel are aware of the connection between vaccinations and escalating incidents of autism, retardation and cancer in children.

Drug Use and Mental Health; Target Audience Statement: Primary target audiences for this program will include law enforcement officials, drug prevention specialists, Drug-Free Communities Act grantees, administrators, school drug counselors, treatment providers, drug court members, policy makers, business leaders, coalition volunteers, drug demand reduction coordinators, criminal justice professionals, members of the religious community and other community partners who may be interested. This program is also suitable for Public Access television distribution. Program Summary And Objectives: “Millions of American today receive health care for mental or substance-use problems and illnesses. These conditions are the leading cause of combined disability and death of women and the second highest of men.” “Improving the Quality of health Care for Mental and Substance-Use Conditions,” Institute of Medicine Report, November 1, 2005; Studies are showing an alarming trend, incidents of mental illness related to drug use are on the rise. It’s unclear what came first, did a predisposition to mental illness lead to drug use, or is it the other way around? No matter what, co-occurring disorders are a problem. Especially in the wake of this year’s hurricanes and other disasters, mental health and substance abuse professionals need to be poised to provide additional care for those suffering serious mental trauma and who may turn to alcohol and drugs as a result. During this hour-long broadcast, hear from treatment providers about the delicate balance between treating a person’s addiction and his or her mental illness.
STORY: Friends who knew the B.C. pilot who was caught flying a helicopter carrying 150 kilograms of marijuana into the U.S. say he was spirited young man mixed up in the wrong crowd.

Samuel Brown, 24, was arrested on allegations he attempted to drop off the huge load of B.C. bud in Washington state.

He was charged and held at the Spokane County jail, but reportedly hanged himself with bed sheets from his cell on Feb. 27.

Upon hearing the news of Brown’s suicide, friends rallied around the Revelstoke, B.C., native, fondly remembering him as a soft-spoken adventure seeker.

“I can’t believe that a kid with so much life force would do something like that…. It was shocking,” John Buffery said.

Mitch Scott, another friend, said Brown was a popular man who had dreams of starting his own helicopter business.
Mitch Scott (left) and John Buffery remembered their friend as a gentle spirit who was always in search of an adventure.

“He had a lot to live for. He was very popular kid around town. I think he had big dreams of doing really cool things.”

All were unwavering in their belief that Brown was not involved with gangs.

“Sam, in my mind, wasn’t this felon in the United States,” Buffery said. “Sam Brown was a kid we hung out with who was really fun to be around, and it’s shocking, a really sad thing.”

Brown’s father was too distraught to speak on Tuesday, but he told the Nelson Daily News last week that his son was used as a pawn in the cross-border drug deal and that he took the fall for somebody else.

In total, eight people were arrested and now seven face charges after police broke up the cross-border drug smuggling operation, which used helicopters to fly marijuana and ecstasy to remote U.S. landing pads in exchange for cocaine and cash.

Police seized about 340 kg of marijuana, 83 kg of cocaine and 240,000 ecstasy tablets, plus a significant amount of cash, guns, two helicopters and other equipment, officials from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the RCMP said at a joint news conference in Seattle on Tuesday morning.
